I've tried to keep busy this past week, and hope to do the same this week so I'll stop feeling sorry for myself. My nephew helped. He sent me this picture of his six month old daughter, himself, and their turkey. He swears you can't "start 'em too young" when it comes to huntin..... I can't imagine what the nephew and his daughter will be doing in another six months..... fishing maybe?
Heaven help her, we've gotta get that girl some dresses, quick!!!!

Hi Dani,
She looks pretty happy dressed in her camo wear! Dresses are okay for church & when the Queen visits, but you know, you really can't run very well in a dress and those slippery, clickey shoes...
What a cutie! Keep the faith, it will happen, Dani. But, not before your children are ready for you. We are here for you if you need some cheering up!
Shari, Ellie is happy in whatever she's wearing and loves to get dirty already -- her dad loves putting her in anything related to hunting to annoy his sister. I'm surprised he doesn't have a camo carrier and hat for her, wait... I best shut up or he'll get ideas. He lives 30 minutes from Cabala's.
Thanks Nichole, I know you understand. I've just waited so long for children and now that we've started the process it just doesn't seem to happen. I've been buying things that I know they'll need but until I at least get to see pictures it doesn't seem real somehow....
Dani, I know we are NOT your children, but we ALWAYS have an ear for you. It's not much , but I am sure we all mean it from the bottom of our hearts:)
Thanks Ute. I found out that the family that was over from our agency finished her adoption and is either home or on her way home. So, things are moving along, albiet slowly. I'm just concerned that our dossiers will expire and we'll have to start all over again. I'm not sure I could handle that. I'll just keep going as I am now, and I guess if it's meant to be it'll happen, whenever it's supposed to happen.
Dani, i totally understand how you feel........i feel exactly the same way. But we just have to keep faith that we'll get our children exactly when we're meant to.......
And the camo.........looks just like my brother-in-law and my niece. LOL...cute.
Tammie, I know all of ya'll know what I'm going thru, it doesn't seem to phase Steve, he just keeps plugging away. Any woman who's adopted or adopting understands. It just seems that there's one delay after another, all of which has been out of our control..... which is not good for an Aries, dammit!!! I think the stupidest delay was the social worker who waited almost three months (which of course delayed everything) to drive two hours to look at two doorknobs and to double check that Steve had changed a battery in an optional smoke alarm that wasn't loud enough lol
Are you serious? OMG.....We were very lucky our social worker was wonderful. Craig has pretty much been just truckin along too until recently. About two weeks ago he said "OK, when are you going to get our baby? I'm ready now." He's been spending time upstairs working on her room.........cleaning it out and moving her furniture in.
Tammie -- very serious, and the homestudy which took her 5 months to write up was 4 pages lol In Ohio they have 6 months to complete a homestudy and she dragged it out as long as she could.... she knew I had contacts with the State board so she didn't dare drag it out the full 6 months. She took a vacation AND sponsored a summer program which all took place during the time she was supposed to write up those 4 pages too lol .... in the middle of all this INS messed with me too, they kept sending back out I600a for various reasons... had nothing to do with how it was filled out, she wanted two forms two checks, then one form two checks, then one form one check... now we have to take the money she returned finally to the Embassy when we travel..... And then lets not forget the lost document at the State level, and oh yeah the form that was sneezed on... yes, they decorated it with a nice sized booger lol
